Going Eco-friendly :)

                Santa Rosa City is a first class city in the province of Laguna, Philippines. It is also known as “The Lion City of the South” since 1994. Santa Rosa was mainly known for the Coca-Cola and Toyota manufacturing plants in its industrial estates. Recently it has also become more famous for being the site of several housing developments. Santa Rosa is also the exit travellers take along the South Luzon Expressway to go to Tagaytay or Taal Volcano. The city contains the 3^rd largest complex in Laguna, Paseo de Santa Rosa.

       

            Santa Rosa became a city by virtue of Republic Act No. 9264, which was ratified by the citizens on July 10, 2004. In 2009, presence of Nuvali in Santa Rosa is making a huge impact in terms of putting the city in forefront of green development with functional living as seen on their Solenad area at Lake Evozone.

            As a citizen of Santa Rosa I’m proud to say that this is my hometown: a hometown that you can benefit from and will help you have a better living. It’s nice to know that Santa Rosa is now a very well-known place because of the places that are very encouraging to go to.   For me, the best thing about my hometown, Santa Rosa, Laguna is our theme park, Enchanted Kingdom. I observed that it has been a very famous theme park. Even people from faraway places want to go there. South Forbes Golf City is another best thing in the booming area of Sta. Rosa, Laguna. At the heart of South Forbes is an 18-hole world-class golf course. Surrounding the golf course are communities with different themes, one for each discriminating taste and style. The last best thing in Santa Rosa Laguna is Solenad (I thought of it because it really is a big catch to have an environment like this). It is very eco-friendly and it will help people realize that it is for our own sake and also for the whole world’s safety. People will be encouraged to engage in eco-friendly activities so that they will be concerned about the health of the environment. Environmental issues were first pushed to the forefront of the collective consciousness in the late 1900s, when people realized that their activities were having a negative impact on the environment. Pollution, rampant use of natural resources, and other activities were questioned in light of information about how these activities hurt the environment, and people began to look into more eco-friendly ways of living and doing business. So, maybe that’s the way of Solenad to be the start of something that will help us and guide us to a new healthy living.

            That’s why I enjoy staying here in my hometown because of its sensitivity to our environment; it is really improving and changing for the better. I’m glad that my hometown is Santa Rosa, Laguna because I think it is now being known in the whole country because of its beautiful and entertaining places located here.
